Paper slitting and rewinding is the process of cutting a large jumbo reel of paper by moving it through an array of knives before rewinding it on one or more shafts into smaller standardised winds for custom uses.
 

Machines known as slitter rewinders are used to cut parent reels into various roll widths and trim off the edges of the sheet in order to meet customer requirements.

The process has remained a vital part of every paper processing industry around the world since it has direct impact on the quality of the end paper product. Various slitting methods, winding techniques and tension control mechanisms for the web have been developed and successfully implemented in order to maximise the efficiency of the process and the edge quality of the cut paper.
 

 

Design of the 3Ply paper roll slitter:

The Diamond model has been designed to be a compact, cost effective solution whilst keeping production requirements in mind.

The machine has been based on our renowned ranges of machines, and therefore has the flexibility to be able to slit and rewind most thermal paper roll products at high speed.

• The design incorporate the motor control system & unwind magnetic brake with load cell feed brake Digital Edge/line guiding to achieve high speed correction.
• Air shaft for 76mm core. At unwind with Safety chuck Max. Reel weight 1000kg. Imported pneumatic tension control with load cell.
• Type of slitting: circular rotary slitting system. One full width capacity grooved roller. Trim removal system: blower with full width Pipe for trimming along with a trim Injector unit.
• Quick and easy system for change over from one slitting mode to another and from one slit width to another.
